Be A Mindful Voter

Turned off by all the rhetoric and anger in the mid-term election season?

MINDFUL VOTING – DETERMINING THE VALUES OF AMERICA

Reflecting on the heart of mindfulness, Loving Kindness and Compassion, as well as the principles of mindfulness, may inform our vote with the clarity of our truth and values.

The 9 Attitudinal Foundations of Mindfulness as identified by Jon Kabat-Zinn are: ~ Non-Judging ~ Patience ~ Beginner’s Mind ~ Trust ~ Non-Striving ~ Acceptance ~ Letting Go ~ Generosity ~ Gratitude.

Inscribed on the Statue of Liberty for the benefit of us all:

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

HONORING OUR NATION’S BRAVE SOULS THEN AND NOW

…Fighting for equality, freedom, and the right to vote. May truth, integrity, justice for all, wisdom, compassion and kindness prevail!

Let us vote on November 6th for those who could not. Let us help in getting all who want to vote to the polls.

EVERY VOTE MATTERS!
